Stand By Me

During covid the Northwell Health, nurse choir, stand a very moving rendition of ‘stand by me’ on America’s got talent (link below). When you consider the stress health professionals across the world faced during the two turbulent years of the pandemic.

2 Chronicles 15:7 says ‘But as for you, be strong and don’t get discouraged, for your work will be rewarded’. (NET) Covid brought so much depression, to so many people, yet it’s now time to come through the other side.

What we all know is the selfless determination doctors and nurses exercised just to see all of us through. It’s our turn now in faith to stand by them. If you are able to bless someone, to thank someone, to honour the medics around you whether personally or through your Church, do it, it will bless them and open a conversation about Jesus, who stood by us all.

Quote When we stand with one another we see Jesus working through us.

Prayer

Lord, guide me to those I should encourage, thank and bless in the medical profession, in your name, Amen.

Action Point It doesn’t need to cost a lot, but you’ll know someone, a coffee treat, a card, some flowers, what ever you do, do it with the intent to bless.
