Every journey begins with a single step. The Gospel compels us not to remain where we are, but to step into purpose. Jesus did not wait for perfect people, but called ordinary ones and simply said, “Come, follow me” (Matthew 4:19, NLT). The word ‘start’ may seem small, but in the Kingdom of God, it is powerful. It represents willingness, obedience and faith all rolled into motion.
Many delay their calling, waiting for confidence, clarity or comfort. But the truth is, obedience opens the path. When we start serving, start sharing, start loving with intention, the Kingdom of God breaks forth. That first conversation, that first act of service, that first ‘yes’—will always matter more than we realise.
What is Jesus asking you to start today? Not everything must be grand. A humble beginning in faith can bring eternal fruit. Start, and trust Him to take it further.
