Study Prophecy With Hope

Prophecy can sometimes feel mysterious or even unsettling to the average Christian. Yet when you approach prophecy with hope, something changes. You begin to see not fear but faithfulness. Prophecy is not given to frighten the faithful, but to anchor them in God’s sovereign plan.
There is a prophetic maturity in studying these passages with trust rather than anxiety. Scripture consistently points us to a God who is in control of history and intimately involved in its unfolding. When you read prophetic words through the lens of Christ, you see promise more than panic. Your heart steadies because you remember who holds the future.
The Message Bible says, “The Master declares, ‘I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out, plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for’” (Jeremiah 29:11 MSG). Prophecy ultimately leads us to hope.
