The Benefit Of Walking

There’s something powerful about walking—not just for your body, but for your soul. Walking slows the rush of life, clears the mind, and gives space for prayerful reflection. Many times in Scripture, God’s people walked: Abraham journeyed in faith, Jesus walked among the people, and disciples travelled to share the Good News. Walking isn’t wasted time—it can be holy time.
Micah 6:8 says, “Mankind, he has told each of you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God” (CSV). Walking humbly reminds us that life is not a sprint but a steady, faithful journey with God beside us.
You’ll bump into creation when you walk, you also bump into people who God created. Today, let every step you take be a reminder that God walks with you, guiding your path.
