The Cost Of War

Whether in a marriage, ministry, or nation to nation, war leaves scars. Sometimes, battles rage not because of faith or grace, but pride. Disputes fester, hearts harden, and the cost mounts—not just in time, but in souls bruised by bitterness. The loudest victories in the world often come at the expense of everyone else involved.
“Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.” (Romans 12:18, TLB). This isn’t weakness—it’s spiritual maturity. God’s Word does not call us to avoid conflict at any cost, but to deal with it with humility, patience, and the willingness to lay down our ego for the sake of unity. In the end, war may win a point, but only peace builds a future.
Before we attack, in words, attitudes, silence or sabotage, may we ask: is this fight worth the fracture? Will this war help anyone along the way?
Quote
War with anyone may win a point, but only peace builds a future.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to value peace above pride. Amen.
