The Embers Of The Fire

In the aftermath of a difficult season, when the fire has died and only embers remain, it can be hard to make sense of what just happened. But it’s in those moments—when everything seems still, and your soul is raw—that faith becomes most real. God often speaks in the quiet after the storm, when we’re finally still enough to hear Him.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirits have been crushed” (NCV). Even when we don’t understand the why, we can trust in the Who. God’s presence never leaves us, even when the flames rage or when the ashes settle.
When life is tough sometimes you just have to wait. Faith is trusting Him in the embers, believing that new life will rise from what feels lost. He is always working, even in what feels like endings.
Quote
God speaks clearly when life is quiet.
Prayer
Lord, help me to trust You in the quiet embers of hardship, knowing You are still with me. Amen.
Action Point
Take ten quiet minutes today to reflect, pray, and listen for God’s voice in the stillness.
