01098 - The Firsts In Life

Every journey begins with a “first.” The first step into church, the first whispered prayer, the first time opening your Bible in earnest. It might be awkward, uncertain, even frightening. But we forget—you cannot have a second or a hundredth without that very first.

God celebrates firsts. The Bible says, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin” (Zechariah 4:10a AMP). He sees the courage it takes to try, to risk, to believe. Whether it’s a child’s first words, your first fitness step, or launching a podcast with trembling hands—it all counts in the Kingdom when done in faith.

The firsts in life, teach you a lot and can set you in a direction in life. Don’t fear small starts. Honour them. Heaven does. Your future unfolds not with grandeur, but with obedience to the very first nudge from God.
