The Lord Is My Shepherd

The image of the Lord as our Shepherd is one of the most tender and powerful truths in the Bible. A shepherd knows every sheep in his care by name, leads them to pastures, and protects them from danger. In the same way, God watches over us with constant care. He provides for our needs, guides our steps, and restores our weary souls.
When life feels uncertain, the Shepherd’s presence brings calm. His voice cuts through fear and confusion, calling us to follow His path of peace. Even in the valley of difficulty, His rod and staff comfort and protect. We are never abandoned, for the Shepherd walks with us through every season.
The Bible declares, “The Lord is my shepherd, I will not be in need” (Psalm 23:1 NASB). This promise assures us that His provision is perfect and His love unending. In His care, we lack nothing.
