The Quest Of Intelligence

Many people spend their lives chasing intelligence, believing that a higher IQ guarantees success or significance. Knowledge is valuable, but Scripture teaches that wisdom is greater. Intelligence fills the mind, but wisdom guides the heart. A person may know much and still lack direction, compassion, or purpose. True wisdom begins with God, for He is the source of all understanding. When we honour Him, our thoughts are shaped by His wisdom.

The quest for intelligence can lead to comparison, pressure, and pride, yet God invites us to seek something better. Wisdom teaches us how to love, how to live, and how to lead. Wisdom brings peace, humility, and sound judgment. Seek God more than knowledge; He gives clarity beyond human reasoning.

The Bible declares, “It is the Lord who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6 GNT). The greatest mind is the one surrendered to God.

Quote

Wisdom is intelligence guided by the heart of God.

Prayer

Lord, give me wisdom that honours You above knowledge that glorifies myself. Amen.

Action Point

Ask God today for wisdom in one decision rather than relying only on intellect.
