The Sacrifice Of Farmers

Farming is more than a livelihood. It is a daily act of faith. Every season, the farmer sows not knowing what the weather will bring or whether the harvest will be enough. Yet their hands remain steady, their backs strong, and their hearts quietly hopeful. James reminds us, “Be patient, then, my brothers and sisters, until the Lord comes. See how patient a farmer is as he waits for his land to produce precious crops” (James 5:7, GNT). Their waiting is worship.
The pressure on farmers today is immense. Rising costs, unpredictable markets and climate changes create burdens that few see. But God sees. And He invites us to stand with them in prayer, believing that their labour will not be in vain. Every loaf of bread begins with their quiet obedience to till the land.
Lift their names before God. May they also find the peace of God.
Quote
Behind every field is a farmer trusting God for rain.
Prayer
Lord, bless every farmer with strength, peace and provision. Amen.
Action Point
Pause today and pray for farmers by name or by region.
