The Stronghold Of God

God will often declare Himself as our true stronghold. A stronghold is a place of safety, a fortress where the enemy cannot penetrate. When trials come and fear threatens to overwhelm us, the Lord invites us to run into His presence and find refuge. His strength surrounds us, His peace steadies us, and His love secures us.
Many people build false strongholds of wealth, success, or human relationships, yet these crumble under pressure. Only God remains unshakable. To live in His stronghold is to trust that He is greater than every storm and stronger than every enemy. It is a posture of confidence that rests in His protection and power.
The psalmist declares, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust” (Psalm 18:2 NKJV). When God is our stronghold, nothing can shake the foundation of our hope.
