They Said I would Be This Way

The words spoken over us as we grow up can shape the way we see ourselves. Harsh criticism, labels, or discouraging remarks can leave deep marks, making us feel unworthy or incapable. But while the world may speak words that tear down, God speaks words that build up. His truth defines us, not the opinions of others. He sees our worth, our purpose, and the incredible potential He has placed within us.
Proverbs 18:21 reminds us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (CSB). The words we believe have power—when we embrace what God says about us, we rise into His calling for our lives. His voice speaks life, hope, and identity.
Let God’s Word shape your heart. Silence the lies and hold onto the truth—He calls you chosen, loved, and equipped for His purpose.
