Training Your Soul

Our spirit, born again in Christ, is incorruptible. Yet our soul — our mind, will, and emotions — needs daily discipline and constant renewal. If left untended, it can be swayed by the pull of the world, by old habits, and by the voice of fear. That is why Scripture urges us to be transformed through the renewing of our minds, shaping our thoughts to align with God’s truth.
Training the soul is an intentional act. We choose to feed it with the Word, to guard it with prayer, and to focus it on things that are pure and noble. Just as an athlete trains for strength and endurance, we train our inner life for holiness and steadfastness.
The Word declares, “For you have been born again… through the living and everlasting word of God” (1 Peter 1:23 AMP). Let the incorruptible spirit within you lead your soul into daily victory.
Quote
Your spirit is perfect, your soul is in training.
Prayer
Lord, help me to discipline my soul to follow the leading of my spirit. Amen.
Action Point
Start each morning by feeding your soul with God’s Word.
