Frances Ridley Havergal’s hymn “Who Is on the Lord’s Side?” is more than a song. It is a call to allegiance. In a world where loyalties shift and truth is often blurred, the question still resounds with power. Who will choose Christ above all else? Who will stand firm in the face of compromise? Joshua made it clear: “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15, NIV).
The hymn challenges us not to sit in silence, but to step forward. To belong to Jesus is not a passive act; it is an active declaration. We live, speak, and love differently because we know whose side we are on. It is not about perfection, but about direction, hearts set on God.
So today, do not hesitate. Rise with conviction. Choose Christ again and again. Let your life be your response to the hymn’s question.
