Working From A Place Of Rest

Prayer in everyday life is not reserved for emergencies or the needy few around us. It is the breath of the believer, flowing in rhythm with the mundane as much as the miraculous. In Colossians 4:2 (NASB), we are urged to “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.” This devotion is not occasional. It is continual. It turns the ordinary into a sacred offering.
When we pray over our meals, our meetings, and even our laundry, we are inviting the presence of God into every corner of our existence. It reminds us that no moment is too small to matter and no task too trivial for divine purpose. Every whisper of prayer strengthens the bond between heaven and earth.
So today, take the everyday and elevate it. Let God meet you not just on Sunday, but in the stillness of your Tuesday afternoon.
Quote
A whispered prayer in an ordinary hour reaches the throne of an extraordinary God.
Prayer
Lord, awaken my heart to find You in the simple and unseen. Amen.
Action Point
Choose one routine task today and turn it into a moment of prayer.
