Being Tenderhearted

A tender heart is not a weak heart. It is a heart shaped by the love and compassion of God. To be tender-hearted is to care deeply, forgive freely, and respond with gentleness even when the world responds with harshness. Jesus lived this way, showing kindness to the broken, patience with the struggling, and grace to the undeserving. When His love fills our hearts, tenderness becomes a strength that restores, heals, and unites.
Tenderness allows us to see others through God’s eyes. Tenderness will soften our words, guide our actions, and keep us humble. A hard heart pushes people away, but a tender heart draws them toward Christ. The world may value toughness, but heaven values compassion.
Scripture teaches us, “Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32 AMP). Tender hearts reflect the heart of Jesus.
