Caring For Orphans

Being concerned for those without parental influence moves compassion from sentiment into action. Orphans remind us that love must show up, not just speak up. When we care for those without protection, we reflect a Father who never abandons His children. This calling stretches us beyond convenience into genuine Christlike love.
There is prophetic power in choosing to care. God often advances His kingdom through quiet obedience rather than public platforms. When we notice the unseen and serve the overlooked, heaven pays attention. Caring for orphans teaches us to value people not for what they can offer, but for who they are. In that space, faith becomes tangible.
Scripture tells us, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this to look after orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27 NIV). God’s heart is clear. When we love the vulnerable, we walk closely with Him.
