Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

When Jesus said, “Let not your hearts be troubled” (John 14:1, ESV), He wasn’t offering a gentle suggestion—He was issuing a loving command. He knew that our hearts would wrestle with fear and uncertainty. His words call us to choose trust over turmoil. In a world filled with reasons to worry, Jesus offers Himself as the reason not to. He reminds us that belief in Him anchors us through every storm.
To apply this truth daily means deliberately placing our concerns into God’s capable hands. It means whispering a prayer before panic takes hold. It means remembering that we are never alone—our Saviour has gone ahead, preparing the way. When we hold onto His promises, our hearts find a peace that defies logic and lifts our eyes above the chaos.
John 14:1 (ESV) – “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”
Quote
Peace is not the absence of trouble—it’s the presence of Christ.
Prayer
Lord, teach my heart to rest fully in You. Amen.
Action Point
Memorise John 14:1 and speak it over your day.
