The World Before The Internet

There was a time before the internet—when letters were handwritten, conversations were face-to-face, and prayer was our first response rather than a last resort. Life moved slower, distractions were fewer, and depth mattered more than speed. While technology brings convenience, we’ve lost something sacred: stillness, attention, and simplicity. But faith calls us back—not to a digital disconnect, but to a spiritual reconnection.
Jeremiah 6:16 says, “Go stand at the crossroads and look around. Ask for directions to the old road, the tried-and-true road. Then take it. Discover the right route for your souls” (MSG). God’s path hasn’t changed. The ancient road of trust, silence, prayer, and presence still leads to peace.
Maybe it’s time to switch off the noise and return to the quiet places where God still speaks. Remember those times, when we read the book of the bible, had fellowship, walked, prayed without any devices!!
