In over thirty years of ministry, I’ve noticed the most effective people have been the ones who persevered over time. Come what may, they chipped away at something and found a way through. They never gave up. Of course there would have been times of trial, ill-health, zero finance, discord and even disagreement, yet they still found a way to carry on. Giving up is a permanent solution to a temporary problem! Once you give up, the pursuit of the vision God has given you stops.

Believed to be the son of Saint Non, David died around 589 AD. He was the Bishop of Mynyw, now St. David’s in Wales. The cathedral there stands on the site of a monastery David founded in 550 AD. David’s work would have been a simple walk of teaching, leading and solidly advocated the love and message of Christ to the world. Part of outlining the spiritual gifts, Paul references in 1 Corinthians 12:9 ‘to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit.’ (NIV) For some operating in the spiritual gift of faith is like another person operating in the spiritual gift of healing, for another prophecy, for another discernment. 00268 - Cost Of Living Ideas
It’s quite spiritual to be good stewards and to be servant hearted, both of which are needed during times of high prices, souring inflation and less income. To be frugal is fine, even Jesus said in John 6:12, 'Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.’ (NIV) Before we look at the ideas, remember to pray and ask God for wisdom, He might give you an idea which will really help. Heat one room, not the whole house. Cook more than you need and freeze the rest.

Ash Wednesday is a holy day where Christians usually would fast. It’s the start of Lent which is 40 days (excluding Sundays) leading up to Easter Sunday. Ash taken from the burnt leaves of Palm Sunday the previous year, are used to draw a cross on your forehead. It’s a reminder that from dust we came and from dust we will return.
